First, let me express my appreciation to Peter Wellburn for scanning the 1959 school photograph. He sent it to me as four 30 Mbyte TIFF files on a CDROM. You can see it in the Group Photograph section. Incidentally, the full photograph, here, is contained in a 167 kbyte file, which takes only about 30 seconds to load at 50 kbit/s.
Second, Peter reminded me of the fact that framed copies of the school photographs used to hang in the school corridors. As with the honours plaques, we'd welcome any news of where, if anywhere, they can now be found.
In the meantime, Peter is going to check with the Scarborough Evening News, on the off chance (very unlikely, of course) that they still have originals of school photos they published in the paper.
