(Click on Messages, then on Welcome to the New Discussion Forum.) If you participate in other discussion forums/boards on the Internet, many of the features of the forum will already be familiar. In any case, you can get help by clicking on the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) link at the top right of the forum window. To post messages to the Discussion Forum, you need to register (although you don't need to do so just to read messages). Registration is simple and allows you to participate almost immediately. The software provides for an approval cycle and an email-based confirmation cycle, but we have disabled the former. The latter verifies that you have provided a bona fide email address. If there are any malicious or otherwise inappropriate registrations (presumably by people who are not Old Scarborians), we have the capability to delete them and to block subsequent attempts from the same email address. Old Forum Messages All message threads (discussions) prior to May 2003 are archived. You can read them, but you will be unable to reply directly to any of them. If you wish to continue an archived discussion, please post a new message to the Discussion Forum, using a related subject heading and referring, in some way, to the original discussion. Once messages are posted to the new Forum, you will be able to use the Reply function in the usual way.
